Alhaji Jimoh Ajetunmobi of Agbamu

Name: Alhaji Jimoh Ajetunmobi

Alhaji Jimoh Aweda Ajetunmobi was born to the family of mr and mrs Lawal
of Oke Imole in Agbamu in the 1930s, he lost his mother when he was one year
Old and his father also died before he could fend for himself, he had no one to
give him the necessary support that any little, growing child needs except for his
elder brother, Salimanu Lawal that catered for him to his own little capability, his
Elder brother would carry him on his shoulder to the farm, he would roast yams for
Him to eat to keep the younger Jimoh busy whilst he work on the farm land.

He did not have any material of life except for a long buba given to him by a concerned
relative, the buba was touching the ground when it was given to him and he did not have
a replacement for it until many years later when the buba was becoming too short for him
to the extent that it was about to be revealing his manhood, his elder brother would wash
this only buba and spread it to dry while they are in the farm, and he would give it to him to
wear again, so he continued like this for many years.

He did not attend any formal school, though he was able to read and right, his education
was thanks to a friend of his in person of Mr Ige, mr Ige was a school teacher in the land
then, after school hours, the young Jimoh would go to Ige's house and learn from him, that
Was how he became a literate, he could read and write.

He was hard working and ambitious, he would work on people's farmlands
In exchange for food or money, he would weave clothe and mats to take to the market

Of greener pasture finally took him to Lagos, where he would spent the rest of his life, he set up a
Business in Lagos and the business boomed enough to pay his bills and that of his family, he built a house in Lagos and one in Agbamu (his home town)

PERSONALITY
It is safe if we refer to Alhaji Jimoh Ajetunmobi as a philanthropist, because he facilitated the
relocation of many Agbamu men to Lagos, he was humble, loyal, honest, peace loving and a very simple and gentle man, though a Muslim, but he mingled well with both Muslims and Christians, he never discriminate, evidence of his non discrimination can be seen in the tenants that occupied his Lagos house (IBO and Yoruba Christians and few Muslims). He was happily married to three wives.

ACHIEVEMENTS
Despite his rough and hard time growing up at Agbamu, his love for Agbamu can never be quantified as he single handedly registered Agbamu name in the city of Lagos, he made sure that there is a street named after Agbamu in Lagos (Agbamu Street, in Mosafejo Amukoko, Lagos).
Till his death, he doubled as the Treasurer for Agbamu Muslims in Lagos and the entire Agbamu people also in Lagos.

He died on 3rd of March 1998 in Lagos and was buried the following day in Agbamu. He is survived by two loving wives and many children and many grand children.
That's a photo of one of his children.

TRUELIFESTORY: Fraudsters Are In Town

This is true life story, I will try to write it the same way it was related to me by an elderly woman (in her 60s), she is one of the closest women in my life below.

She has a shop in the street of Lagos selling assorted biscuits, sweet, soaps, beverages, recharge cards, provisions etc.

"On Thursday 5th August 2016 about 9am ( during market sanitation) a male customer came with a polythene bag in his hand to come and buy something, as usual, we open partially to sell few things to early customers, as I went in to the shop to bring what the customer requested for, he started exclaiming "mama mama e wo ìgbé lórí pákó yin!!! (see faeces on your rack)" I raised up my eyes and to my surprise there was faeces smeared on the rack, I was very perplexed to see such and as such it sent shiver down my spine.

As I was running from pillar to post to either get the dirt cleaned or figure out who could perpetrate such a thing, the customer offered a helping hand, he said "Mama, get water and soap, I will help you wash it off." I was glad and I closed my shop door partially to go get water.

In less than five minutes I was back with water and the man washed off the faeces after which he left without asking for payment for the service he rendered, I thanked him so much and was happy.

Not until when another customer came to buy a 200 Naira MTN recharge card, I realized my recharge card bag has gone, it was then I started searching for my wallet that I kept on the Fridge beside the door that contain my 7,500naira.

The customer came, he offered to help, he helped and went away with my wallet that has my 7,500 Naira in it and Recharge Card Bag that has up to 30,000 Naira assorted recharge card in it, THE CUSTOMER WAS A FRAUDSTER. "
